Best for Mobile Traps The most important thing to realise about mobile speed traps is that you need to ignore the marketing claims of any one single product that says it warns of all cameras. That is just not true. Mobile traps present a different set of challenges and many products on the market just are not adequate to give you any help, despite what the manufacturers may claim. Mobile speed traps in the UK and Ireland can use either radar or laser to measure your car's speed. Radar traps can only be detected by radar detectors. Forget GPS for this and remember that there is huge difference in the performance abilities of radar detectors. Laser traps can either be detected by laser detectors or you can add an extra level of protection with a laser diffuser. You then pick the product based on it's ability to help against that type of equipment (it's not rocket science, is it?) In most of England and Wales (particularly North Wales), it's laser so your best bet is a jammer. Parts of England and Wales also use radar traps so call us for details if you are unsure. In Scotland and Ireland mobile radar traps are much more common so you're better off with a radar detector and can add a jammer later for a complete system.
